Our team discovered chocolate makers Erik and Ariane Hansen at a local festival. We were instantly impressed with the quality of their chocolate, showcasing a complex acidity that highlighted origin characteristics so we had to bring some in to offer. Also available in-store at our roastery!

"This 72% dark chocolate bar features beans from the Bundibugyo region in Western Uganda. The cacao resulted in a slightly darker chocolate in colour and very distinct flavour from any of our other bars. We taste flavours that include spice and jammy fruits, or even a mulled wine, on a background of deep chocolate.

This cacao is grown by 1,002 organic smallholder farmers in the Bundibugyo region, 52% of whom are women. Latitude Trade Co. (LTC), the company that processes and exports this cacao, has organized 6 rural collection points for farmers to access, where they sell fresh cacao weekly into the network and receive cash at the point of sale."
